Google Trends erweitert den Funktionsumfang und dehnt die Trends nun auf Websites aus. So ist es nun möglich, für viele Internetseiten die Besucherdaten abzufragen und zu vergleichen. Diese errechnet Google aus verschiedenen Quellen. Zum einen fließen die Daten der auf Google getätigten Suchen, aber auch jene von Anayltics, Adsense und Adwords mit ein. Interessant auch die zusätzlichen Daten über die Keywords, mit welchen die Seite gefunden wurde und die Zielmärkte der Seite.

Gelistet sind Internetseiten mit einem Traffic, der eine bestimmte, nicht näher definierte Schwelle übersteigt. Diese dürfte pimaldaumen so bei ca. 2.000 Besuchern pro Tag liegen…

Google zeigt hier eindrucksvoll, welche Macht es nun effektiv hat, über welche Daten es verfügt und was sich mit diesen Daten so alles anstellen lässt. Und weitere Ausbaustufen sind schon geplant, so z.B. die Zugriffszahlen von bestimmten Teilen einer Website.
